  • Excursion to Hermes Fulfilment: On October 25th and 30th 2018 students of the bachelor seminar Lagerlogistik visited the Hermes Fulfilment GmbH in Haldensleben.

  • EURO 2018 in Valencia: This year the EURO (Association of European Operational Research Societies) Conference took place in Valencia. G.P. Kiesmüller represented the OvGU with a presentation on "Spare Parts Provisioning" for Manufacturing Systems.

 

  • 20th ISIR Symposium in Budapest: As a member of the executive committee G.P. Kiesmüller took part at the 20th international Symposium of Inventory Research. She was also a member of the committee for the student best paper award and gave a presentation on "Spare Parts or Buffer? How to design a flow line with unreliable machines".

 

  • Workshop for PhD Students in Kloster Drübeck: All PhD Studentes of the chair of Operations Management took part at the PhD workshop Doktoranden Workshop Nordost (DoWoNo) in the first week of June. C. Rippe presented his work on the influence of advanced information on spare parts planning.

 

  • Research visit at the University of Mannheim: In the last week of May G.P. Kiesmüller was invited to give a presentation at the University of Mannheim. Her presentation was devoted to the topic "Spare Parts Provisioning for Unreliable Manufacturing Systems."

 

  • Research visit at the University of Luxembourg: G.P. Kiesmüller was invited from J. Arts to visit the Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the University of Luxembourg in Mai 2018. She presented her research on "Spare Parts or Buffer? How to Design a Transfer Line with Unreliable Machines" and had several fruitful discussions with researchers from the group.

  • POMS 2018 in Houston: F. Sachs presented his research in an invited session on Manufacturing Operations of the POMS 2018 in Houston. The title of his presentation was "Spare Parts or Buffer? How to Design a Transfer Line with Unreliable Machines".

  • Meeting of the WK OR: On February 8th and 9th 2018 researchers in the field of operations research came togehter in Frankfurt (Oder) to discuss new trends and scientific projects. G.P. Kiesmüller presented her joint work with F. Sachs on the "Joint Optimization of buffer places and spare parts for an unreliable two machine flow line."
